The Shops at Perry Crossing – Plainfield, Indiana

Poag Shopping Centers was engaged to reposition and transform an existing retail center in Plainfield, Indiana into what is now The Shops at Perry Crossing. Through a comprehensive redevelopment strategy, Poag revitalized the property’s identity, enhanced guest experience, and significantly strengthened its connection to the community.

Working closely with the City of Plainfield, Poag redesigned the central town‑center plaza, integrating experiential amenities such as an upgraded gazebo, interactive fountain features, fire pits, improved landscaping, and enhanced pedestrian zones. These enhancements established the plaza as a true community gathering place and elevated the overall environment.

Poag also led a refined merchandising strategy that introduced first‑to‑market fitness, dining, retail, and service concepts. The addition of two hotels broadened the property’s use mix and further solidified its role as a year‑round destination.

The redevelopment resulted in substantial performance improvements, including increased occupancy, expanded trade area reach, stronger sales, and renewed market relevance.
