The Avenue Viera Hosts Super Hero 5K Benefiting Local Children

Melbourne, FL – For the second consecutive year, The Avenue Viera hosted The Friends of the Children of Brevard’s Super Hero 5K, bringing the community together for a meaningful, family-friendly event.

The chip-timed race, which supports children removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect, welcomed 600 participants across both the 5K and one-mile fun run. This year’s event also featured the return of the popular mascot race and introduced a Super Hero Costume Contest, adding an extra layer of excitement for runners and spectators alike.

In total, the event raised $5,000 to benefit local children. Proceeds also support the dedicated volunteers who advocate for these children in court proceedings and help ensure their safety while in foster care.

The Super Hero 5K continues to grow as both a community tradition and an impactful way to support vulnerable children throughout Brevard County.
