The Avenue Viera Hosts Annual St. Baldrick’s Big Shave, Raising $200,000 for Pediatric Cancer Research
Melbourne, FL – For the past seven years, The Avenue Viera has proudly hosted the St. Baldrick’s Big Shave, a signature head-shaving event held worldwide to support childhood cancer research. Volunteers “go bald” in solidarity with kids battling cancer, raising funds to support cutting-edge pediatric cancer studies.
This year, more than 2,000 attendees gathered in The Avenue’s Central Park as staff and volunteers shaved nearly 300 participants, collectively raising $200,000. The center’s efforts ranked 9th out of 700 St. Baldrick’s events nationwide, demonstrating the community’s strong commitment to this important cause.
The Avenue Viera team is already preparing for next year, continuing its dedication to bringing people together for meaningful impact.
