Tim Thompson

Tim Thompson serves as Vice President, Controller at Poag Shopping Centers, where he leads the company’s financial analysis group.  In this role, Tim oversees the preparation of financial reports, coordinates cash management, analyzing business performance, and monitors internal operational controls to support Poag’s portfolio and corporate operations.

Prior to joining Poag, Tim spent eleven years with CBRE Trammel Crow, where he was responsible for real estate operational reporting for a variety of asset management and corporate clients. His background also includes roles with Arthur Andersen as an auditor, SEC and Financial Reporting Manager for an international manufacturing and sales organization, and Internal Audit Manager for a mortgage servicing operation.

Tim is a graduate of Harding University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). His professional affiliations include TSCPA, AICPA, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
