Dave Zelman, AIA

Dave Zelman serves as Senior Vice President, Development at Poag Shopping Centers, where he leads design and construction initiatives across the company’s national portfolio. A licensed architect with over 30 years of experience in retail, hospitality, and entertainment development, Zelman is known for translating strategic vision into built environments that emphasize comfort, convenience, and community connection.

Prior to joining Poag, Zelman held senior roles at The Cordish Companies and FRCH Design Worldwide, where he oversaw the development of high-profile destinations ranging from casinos to theme parks and immersive dining experiences. His expertise lies in blending placemaking principles with operational excellence to deliver spaces that drive visitation and long-term value.

Dave holds a degree from the University of Cincinnati and maintains architectural licensure in multiple states. He is NCARB and LEED accredited and is certified in Historic Preservation.
