October at The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk: Community, Charity, and Family Fun
South Windsor, CT – October was a month of engagement, giving, and festive fun at The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk. The Center kicked off with the first annual Pink on the Promenade on October 5, held in partnership with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Guests enjoyed swag bags, make-and-take crafts from L.L. Bean, tastings from Ted’s Montana Grill and Stonewall Kitchen, and tried new pink lip colors from Soft Surroundings. Pink up lights illuminated the Village Green as attendees had the chance to win prizes every 15 minutes, helping raise $1,000 for breast cancer research in Connecticut.
Later in the month, the Center welcomed over 3,000 guests for its annual Trick-or-Treat celebration on October 28. Costumed children visited 40 stores and restaurants, collected candy, and stopped at specialty stations with signature Halloween treats and toys. Guests were encouraged to bring non-perishable donations to support the South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, resulting in 600 items and $200 in cash to stock the pantry ahead of Thanksgiving.
Together, these events showcased The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk as a community-centered destination, offering family-friendly entertainment, meaningful philanthropy, and seasonal programming that engages visitors of all ages. October proved that Evergreen Walk is more than a shopping center—it’s a place to create memories, give back, and celebrate together.
